enter your password and pin, then go into the application menu. There is a point “password”, change the password to NIL and you’re done with that

Just to inform you:

I got RSASecurIDToken410.msi running using Ubuntu-Linux 10.4 with wine 1.3.37.

Install it with “wine /msiexec.exe /i RSASecurIDToken410.msi”, and import your sdtid-File as under windows.

You need to include the “-p YourTokenPassword” option. The people that generated your token should have given you this password. You will have to enter this password a second time when you import the token.

Hi,

You probably want to explore all options that TokenConverter provides to handle seed files. It may have support for encrypted seeds. Encrypted text is usually slated as well, if so you want to get the salt value from your admin(s).

Haven’t faced this one as my seed file was not encrypted.

Update:

I just installed RSA SecurID 4.1.0 and it worked with wine(version 1.2.3) like a charm.

While using the MSI, invoking it as ‘wine ./RSA…msi’ failed with bad exe, but loading it using nautilus’ ‘Wine Program Loader’ did the trick.

Numbers are visible and can be copied using Copy button.

PS: Im running 32 bit PAE kernel 3.0.0 tag(linux upstream) with a few local patches and wine is pulled from gentoo portage tree.

I just successfully installed version 4.1.0 of the RSA SecurID Token software on version 1.2.2 of Wine that came with the 11.04 release of Ubuntu. I just clicked on the .msi to start the install. Also, the new menu item of Wine>Program>RSA>RSA SecurID Token>RSA SecurID Token works fine to start the app which appears to work just the same as on the Windows 7 system I have at work. I can see the numbers and Copy works as expected and needed.

Thanks for posting this. I will try the latest version of SecurID with latest Wine release again if i can make some time for it.

When i tried it last it didn’t allow me to get part ‘Gimme a device to store something…’ kinda prompt. When i tried selecting a device(i had no clue what kinda device it was looking for, i must admit), it gave me a blank list to select from.

RSA SecurID App does work under wine. After installation run “wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/RSA\ Security/RSA\ SecurID\ Software\ Token/SecurID.exe”. I couldn’t get it to run from Wine->Programs->SecurID shortcut.

Also the app does not display any digit but “Copy” in the app menu does copy the digits.
